Description
Add a classic to your collection timepiece to the day of incredible precision and rugged Omega Speedmaster-and-date men's watch (model 3222.80.00), last generation that started with the timepiece designed for NASA in the 1960s. It is equipped with the Omega caliber 3606 movement automatic, which has been certified chronometer by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer). Only 3 percent of watches produced in Switzerland are "chronometer-certified. To achieve this coveted certification, the movements are subjected to numerous tests over a period of 15 consecutive days and nights in five positions and at three different temperatures. The watch also includes a central hand dial with chronograph totalizer 30 minutes and 12 hours, 24 hours dial, day and month windows. The large, round watch measures 39mm wide (1.54 inches) and 15 mm thick (0.59 inches) and is topped by a blue-plated bezel with tachymeter readings. The blue dial background has a circular pattern of wave Geneva, silver tone luminous hands luminous tipped stick hour markers, and small seconds indexes. It is complemented by a band of silver stainless steel link bracelet that offers polished highlights, which is joined by a secure, push-button clasp. Other features include a scratch-resistant and glare-proofed domed sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet) - offering protection against accidental spillage and suitable for swimming, snorkeling The recreational diving and light. Movement Automatic Watch is an automatic watch-winding, and its movement has a reserve must be at least partially completed before being worn. This is done by shaking and winding the timepiece manually. For an automatic watch keep a reserve, it must be worn daily for 8 hours of active use. This shows as a 44-hour power reserve. Using a tachometer A tachometer is an instrument for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read in km / h depending on the distance of 1000 meters. For example, the chronograph indicates that the distance of one kilometer was covered in 30 seconds. The corresponding point on the tachymeter scale indicates 120, and thus the speed of 120 kilometers per hour. History Omega The Omega watch story begins in 1848, when founder Louis Brandt began hand assembling watches key wound precision pocket from parts supplied by local craftsmen in his principality La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the northwest corner of Switzerland. However, the Omega name did not appear until 1894, after Louis Brandt died and his watch-making traditions have been taken over by his son, Louis-Paul and Cesar Brandt. Omega watches have long been associated with glamorous screen and sports stars - the Omega Seamaster is famous for being the watch of choice for James Bond - with current ambassadors including Pierce Brosnan, Nicole Kidman, tennis player Anna Kournikova, and swimmers Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe. But Omega is more than just a fashionable watch. In 1965 the Omega Speedmaster chronograph was "flight qualified by NASA for all manned space missions" as shown only to have withstood all tests stringent U.S. space agency, including the pass mark for extreme shock, vibration, and temperatures ranging from - 18 to 93 degrees Celsius. The greatest moment in the history of the Speedmaster was undoubtedly 20 July 1969 at 02h56 GMT, when he recorded the first steps of man on the lunar surface as part of the Apollo 11 mission. Today, Omega is known for its rigorous testing of new movements, cases and bands. Each new Omega movement is tested on the wrist in existing Omega models, while various laboratory tests are conducted to determine the temperature resistance, resistance to shock and vibration resistance ...

This is the most complicated mechanical / automatic watch myself. I bought this exact model a little over 2 years from a dealer overseas. I remember debating the blue versus black, and finally won the blue. Details about the connection and dials the interior is impressive and complement each other well. There are 8 total hands: hours, minutes, seconds, 24-hours, minutes timer, time timer, second timer, and date. This chronograph not keep elasped but does not reset to zero immediately upon the key. The months and days are easy to read, but the date is difficult to read due to small tip arrow and occupations of the outer edge of the disc. I often confused the markers as markers of time in minutes setting time. The fire is not as bright as my Rolex Submariner or GMTIIc but 's probably because of its size. The reserve is very good when you Wind It Up I 've got 3 days before. I have 2 small complaints. One is to set the date. If you accidentally go past the date, the only way back is to set the time back a set of 24 hours. The other is the weight of the rotor. You get a strange sense vibration of the rotor with sudden movements of the hand followed by a quick stop, as when you place your right hand down on a table after you sit down. It can last a few seconds. I do not have that feeling with one of my Rolexes. My guess is the weight of the rotor is more significant in the Omega. Anyway, I think this is one of the best to those who do not "Co-Axial Omega 's out there and probably will stay in my little collection for good. You can say this is definitely one to watch quality, detail, weight and grip on the bracelet and clasp.
I am very pleased with the look and functionality of the watch. This was my first watch and I feel I made the right decision. I 've had it for a few weeks now and it has kept perfect time. I love the look and seems to draw attention from those who have an eye for quality watches. Overall, very pleased.
This is a clock looks absolutely beautiful and better in person. This is part of the collection Speedmaster Michael Schumacher. The watch fits very well with sportswear, and even the garment trade. Your watch an attractive look to the price, but not flashy. The blue is deep enough to use with a black suit, and the dials glow in the dark. It 's an automatic watch so you first have to wind the crown about 20 times to get it loaded up and then use it about 8 hours per day to maintain reserve power goes. R rI Amazon bought this at a discount compared to stores in the mall. It comes with laser inscribed serial numbers, certificates, cash, and jurisprudence. The only thing you won 't get the Omega warranty card dealer, but it ' s an authentic watch sold by Amazon, and Amazon offers a 2 year warranty if you buy it from them, which means that has to be the vendor Z and not a store. R rI love it.
A watch for the collector that special gift. ROmega has created a strange day / date automatic (a big problem in the world watching) that ISN 't the price of the car. All the machines are a little less exact than quartz as far as timing went, but I just Speedmaster gains about two minutes per month, and because I like to use it, I don 't mind re-setting from time to time. RThe current user manual is online, very specific and clear about control. RBut if you do not have interest in the art of making clocks and "COMPLICATIONS " an authentic, quality watchwork Switzerland, to go along with quartz, it 's not "works " ...
Overall I am happy with this watch, it is obviously well made and the manufacturing quality is obvious. However, it does not keep time as accurately as quartz watches cheaper than I possessed. My biggest reservation is the documentation that accompanies it. It includes a booklet from Omega that describes the functioning of many different watches and is keyed to the model number of the watch and patterns of each model for one of the functions of my watch, it gives instructions for use a button that isn 't even present on my watch in particular. Thus, editing and proofreading, and Accessiblity, instructions, leaves something to be desired. I think this watch will give years of good service and wear, but I expected more for this price level.
